Ladylike

(Dress: Eshakti, Clutch: Lilly Pulitzer, Shoes: Cosmopolitan, Sunglasses: Forever 21)

I have been seeing flamingos everywhere it seems! They are definitely having a fashion moment, and I'm totally ok with that! ;) What's fun about this dress is that it fits perfectly (due to the customizable option that can make things fit according to your exact measurements), has such a ladylike feel to it, with a fitted bodice and a full skirt, and is playfully unexpected in a black and yellow combination. Since it's really starting to heat up around here, anything lightweight and cotton has been what I've been reaching for, and this was the perfect dress to wander about and run some errands in. If you're looking for a fun summer addition to your wardrobe, I highly suggest a look about their website

Lydia Magazine

I'm thrilled to announce one of the projects I've been working on! Not long ago, I styled a beachy, bohemian-inspired, summer party which was beautifully photographed by my talented friend Ashley Holstein. After doing my best to hold in all the details (and posting tiny snapshots on Instagram), I can finally announce that I made the cover, and the whole feature can be found as a part of the Summer print issue of Lydia Magazine! The full issue will be released in June, and it's packed full of amazing content. You can find out more details, as well as how to get your hands on a copy, by heading over to their website HERE

Golden Glow

(Dress: Lilly Pulitzer, Jewelry: Anna & Ava)

One of the most beautiful evenings we enjoyed on the islands was spent having dinner with a beautiful view of the sunset. We wandered over to a neighboring resort for a little exploring, and ended up finding the most lovely of pathways leading out to the sea. The sun's fading glow illuminated the sky with such soft, golden light, and we couldn't resist a few photos while taking in all the beauty of the evening's majestic arrival. I took full advantage of the fact that bright colors are found just about everywhere you look, and took the opportunity to bring out some fun gowns and pretty pieces that would compliment the island's natural beauty. This dress was one of the first things to make it into the suitcase, as it's playful floral print and beautiful color story reminds me of the hues found in the forests of the upcountry part of the island.

Crystal Water

(Caftan: Lilly Pulitzer, Shoes: Franco Sarto, Clutch: Lilly Pulitzer, Earrings: Anna & Ava, Sunglasses: Target)

I love any excuse to wear beautiful colors, and to play with fun silhouettes. This pretty caftan was an immediate pick for vacation, and the colors blended beautifully with the tropical surroundings. The flowing seafoam sleeves and accents of hot pink sequined flamingos hidden among the embroidery reminded me of the clear blue waters and playful creatures on the shores of the islands. We had such fun wandering about the island's bamboo gardens and exploring the winding coastline paths.

Clean & Green

Happy Monday, everyone! Hope your weekend was fantastic and restful. It's been so warm recently, and already feels like summer has arrived. We've been taking trips to the farmer's market, and getting out to the beach whenever there's a moment of free time. It's amazing what 30 minutes in the sun does for your body and mind..I always come back from the beach feeling refreshed and happy (and hopefully a little tanner, too!).  If there's one thing I enjoy most about the summer season, it's actually the arrival of all the fresh fruit in the stores. Say hello to pineapples, bananas, papayas, sweet melons and other delights, yum! With all this fruit, it's fun to try out different smoothie recipes, especially on those crazy warm days, or for a simple breakfast option when you're on the go. I recently found and tried this guide, and thought you might enjoy it also...especially when you have a bunch of random ingredients in the pantry; this list may spark new combination ideas! For those of you who are a little wary about the whole "green" smoothie idea, I suggest you try only a handful to a cup of spinach in a smoothie. You won't taste any of the flavor as it gets blended in with the fruit, but you'll still get the benefits of the greens. Trust me, it's always more delicious than it might seem! :)

Have a great week!
