If there's one rule I like to follow most, it's got to be 'wear classic pieces with a twist'. It's easy and fun to do, and can take you from a holiday party to a day of running errands. This soft knit cardigan gets a splashy update with sequins and gold chain link detail. Thrown over a simple striped tee and paired with glittering loafers, it's a cozy and well-loved classic with a cheeky twist. You could also swap out jeans for a cranberry colored skirt and some gold heels and voila!, cocktail party ready. This sparkling sweater will be my go-to choice for my last minute shopping days, and an upcoming event this week. Treat yourself to one, and be sure to use the code Blog20 to get 20% off, happy shopping! :)

What a weekend..it's been jam packed with fun things everyday, all day long...I was so proud of my sister as I watched all of her hard work and training pay off in a stunning performance of the Nutcracker ballet. After being in countless productions of it myself, it was a lovely thing to enjoy from the audience also!
These shades of cobalt and navy are cool and soothing after a busy last few days..it reminds me to breathe, enjoy and soak in the beauty of this season, and the little moments of life. With more projects on the horizon, it's bound to be a delightful week.

Happy Monday!

Weekend Wanderings

Photobucket
It's time for the weekend, and this one is full of events and fun! I'm off to a friend's wedding, my sister's performances of the Nutcracker ballet (in which she has the lead) and a few other shows and parties along the way, whew! I cannot help but love this time of year! This week held decorating, both at home and at church, prep work for an upcoming project or two, as well as some present purchasing...have you finished your holiday shopping yet?!

Wishing you a wonderful weekend ahead!

Merry & Bright

I don't know what it is but I can't help but to be cheerful when I'm wearing this brightly colored punch pink hue! Fun colors seem to make the cold weather not seem as dreary. Also, what is more cheerful and merry than glitter?? To say that I'm in love with these shoes is a mere understatement, they are pretty much my daily go-to for everything..work, errands, meetings, parties...you name it, they had me at first sparkle...
Pretty sure I've convinced everyone I know to get a pair. Yes, that includes you.

And can we talk about how I have come to like turtlenecks again? After many semi-scary memories of cutesy grade school photos, they have somehow come back again and cozy as ever...new winter wardrobe staple? I think so..well that and a healthy dose of glitter. Bingo, you're ready for the season, folks.

I hope you all had a most delightful Thanksgiving (if you live in the US)! Instead of braving the masses to shop on Black Friday, I actually found myself working..serving those who were out and about that day! It wasn't as crazy as I thought it would be, and somehow found it to be enjoyable.

This weekend was crazy busy with styling clients, work, speaking engagements and a concert to attend. Oh the joys of the season..I do love going from one fun thing to the next! The holiday season is in full swing now, and I'm looking forward to some exciting events, the decorations and the excitement of the season that seems to be in the air. I just love this time of the year.
