My weekend began on a Friday morning with a drive to the university I used to attend; I saw some friends there, had lunch, did some thrifting and spent some time with friends back home for the weekend. We crammed every moment we had together with fun, conversation and laughter. The weather was simply lovely; we couldn't have asked for anything better.

A LOVE-ly Weekend Wish

I wrote this around Valentine's Day last year, and so I thought I'd share it with you all since it's that time again. 

My Forever Valentine

Valentine’s Day: that one lovely day full of sweet and beautiful things given to eachother to represent love; that one day I’m not going to be lonely on because I’ve got the greatest valentine in the whole world: GOD.

He gave me roses; vines and bushes full of blooming beauties in all different colors

He gave me art; a lovely sunrise and sunset that covers a canvas which we call sky.

He gave me sweet things: in the form of friends, laughter and amazing moments

He wrote me poetry: throughout the centuries, he’s been writing and speaking love through his word; he romanced me.

He gave me diamonds; strewn all across the sky for me to gaze at and a pearl that glows brightly.

He gave me a hug; his presence is closer than I know, and he’s wrapped me in his arms to stay there forever.

He gave me LOVE; in the form of a gift that I could never repay him for and for which I am eternally grateful; He gave me HIMSELF.

So, instead of worrying about going to dinner or a movie with a “valentine”, I’m enjoying the day with my forever Valentine who has blessed and given me more than I could ever fully thank or repay him for. What a day we shall have together!

Love Never Fails

This is one of my favorite descriptions of love, and around this time when there is such emphasis on that, I enjoy reading over it again.

7 Things I Love About You

Here's 7 Random Facts about Me:

1. Earrings are my favorite type of jewelry. I wear them everyday.

2. I'm going to write a book.

3. I would really love to live overseas for a year.

4. I love foreign music...way better than anything we've got over here. Just saying.

5. Erwin McManus is one of my favorite authors. (I'm reading his book Wide Awake right now!)

6. I wanted to be a scientist when I was little. Not anymore...I didn't enjoy chemistry.

7. I think working for a magazine would be such fun!

On another note, it is February already! Wow!

 I finished sending out all of my Valentine's Day gifts/cards (and my Swap gift). Yay for being ahead of the game! Do you have anything fun planned for Valentine's Day?
