Thankful Times

(Random photo, from a shoot I did a couple of years ago, that I found on my computer today..whoo!)

As preparations for the Thanksgiving holiday take place, it may be cliche, but I hope you take just a minute to think about all the things you've been blessed with, and the things that make you, you. You are a wonderful person with people who truly love and care about you, and God has blessed you with so much. It's not about the things {and the craziness of Black Friday sales :) } ; its about the simple pleasure of life, the morning given to you each day, the sweet memories and the trying times that have made you strong. I've been doing a lot of thinking about this lately, as it has been a pretty tough season for me; however, I know that God does things for a reason, and this will be something I can look back on later and be grateful for.  Happy Thanksgiving to all of you :) I am certainly thankful for you guys!

I've been busy making food for tomorrow...needless to say, the kitchen smells good!!

Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.
Psalm 100:4

Blessings and Thanks,

Candice

Moments Captured in Pixels and Letters

It's the start of another week..this weekend was so packed with fun and relaxation.
I've put it in pixels for you to enjoy!
the roses were blooming
a lovely evening for a beautiful wedding
I love spending time with good friends!
beautifully detailed reception
Madagascar Black Vanilla macaron and Butter Pecan gelato mmm..
Morning walk on the beach
All in all, it was a lovely and much needed weekend!

Random Things:
Getting to Know You..
Where do you live:
United States
How old are you:
well, at Church, I'm in the college and career age group...
About the Keratin treatment:
I got the Brazilian Blowout, which lasts for about 3 months, done at the salon,
and the price will depend on the length and thickness of your hair.
Favorite type of tea:
I'd have to say that it's a toss up between Vanilla Chai and Orange & Spice
If you could go back and change one thing about your life, would you do it?
If so,what would you change?
Hmm, I would probably change the fact that I didn't put in the time to become fluent in another language. I took 4 years of Spanish in high school, but I definitely don't remember enough now to say I'm anywhere near being fluent.
What language would you like to learn?
Well, I'd like to become multilingual, so there's a couple :)
French, Norwegian, Korean and Italian are my top picks.

(If you have any other questions, feel free to leave them in a comment below!)

By the way, I'd like to give a quick thank you for the Cherry on Top blog award from the lovely Erin. If you haven't checked out her adorable blog already, you definitely should! Thank you, girl!

Hope you have a wonderful week! As you make decisions whether they be classes for next semester, what to say to a friend or even what do this weekend, always remember:

If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. (James 1:5)

Blessings and Wisdom,

Candice

I'm Famous! (well, sort of..)

Just a quick update..this is just so exciting that I had to share with you all!
This is the newly released music video for the song 'Live It Up' by Group 1 Crew
Why is this awesome? Well, besides the fact that it's a good song, I also happen to be in the music video. Yes, I got to be part of the filming that took place last year, and it was awesome! The group members are the nicest people ever, and I had a blast getting to take part in this! Look for me in the party and pool scenes..I'm the girl in the blue Duke shirt! This song is the perfect way to start off the weekend on the right note :)

Blessings,

Candice

I Want to Ask You To Ask Me...

I hope you're all having a lovely week so far!
I am so happy to be finished with exams for this week, and I am currently sitting at one of my favorite cafes enjoying the sunshine and working on my NaNoWriMo. Yes, I decided to take part in this super cool idea after hearing about it from some of you and a good friend of mine who is also participating. I'm not much of a fiction writer, so I'm not really writing a novel, but instead working on a writing project I've wanted to start on for quite some time now. This was the perfect incentive to get a jumpstart on it. If you've not heard of NaNoWriMo, you should check it out; I added the link above for you to get some more information if you're curious!
It's been a pretty good week. I got a keratin treatment for my hair yesterday since my hair had gotten pretty dry after the color processing I've subjected it to recently. I cannot say enough about how much I seriously love my hair now. The keratin process is a great restorative that adds the protein back into your hair strands to make it as healthy as it was when it first grew in at the top. Most celebrities and news personalities have this treatment done to their hair, which is why their strands looks so fabulous and shiny! (Aha! I've discovered their secret!) It makes your hair smooth, soft, shiny and has body, but it doesn't frizz at all!! The humidity is pretty intense sometimes where I live, so this is amazing to have during that time. It lasts for 3 months; awesome!! I recommend this to anyone who would love to have their ideal hair. (Ok, I'll get off the soap box now) But seriously, it's done wonders for my naturally curly and dry hair.

I've been perusing some international boutiques online lately for fashion inspiration, and I stumbled across the cutest English boutique called Luphia. If you haven't checked out their blog, go do it now! So so cute! I purchased the prettiest pink sweater from their shop, and I absolutely love the sweet, girly feel of their designs.

I also have to share with you some of my other finds that I think are just lovely.
This website has the best collection of adorable shoes, dresses, skirts..etc from the Asian part of the world. I absolutely love it; many things have been added to my christmas wish list already!!
Take a peek..

There's so much to love about France..their style, music, dance, food..etc. I dream of visiting the Repetto Store in Paris someday! It's everything lovely, feminine and intricate.
The intro video for their website is just beautiful in itself.
Take a look at their store..oh my!

They make both dance and street shoes..their flats and oxfords are absolutely wonderful. I'd like them to just stock my closet full, please!

On another note, I always enjoy reading the question and answer sessions that I've seen on fellow blog pages..I thought I'd open up the floor here for any questions that you may have for me about..well, anything! Ask away :)

I wanted to leave you with a thought before I go to finish some online homework..how exciting.

"Happiness is based on circumstances but joy comes from the Lord."

I was reminded of how I can't always control the circumstances around me, but I can and do know that joy is possible because I know that God works out everything for our good! How refreshing and encouraging that can be in the midst of whatever you and I are going through!

Have a wonderful rest of your week!

Blessings and Joy,

Candice
