The First Day

It's the first day of a new month!
Yay! There's a few new things going on around here.. I'd like to take the time to introduce you to the newest addition to my life and the mascot of my blog ;)

Meet Tanner!

He's super friendly, playful and likes to chase his shadow.
Unfortunately, we had to put our other cat down due to health reasons associated with old age, so Tanner is now the new baby of the family.

On another note, I wanted to share with you what I heard in church last Sunday..it was too interesting to not pass it on!

Recipe For Renewed Spiritual Intensity (Luke 6:1-49)
Pastor Michael Landry

1. Adjust your schedule so it reflects your devotion to God. (Luke 6:1-11; Prov 3:5-6; Mark 2:27; Hebrews 4:9-11)

2. Devote yourself to extended times of prayer before making major decisions. (Luke 6:12-16; Psalm 40:1-8; Psalm 61:1-4)

3. Measure spiritual maturity by the level of your intensity and committment to pursue and know God. (Luke 6:12-26)

4. Refuse to allow the negative treatment of others to determine your response. (Luke 6:27-36)

5. Choose the role of an EMT (save lives) over a judge (judging other's lifestyles and actions). (Luke 6:37-42)

6. Live a life of integrity. (Luke 6:43-45)

7. Always do what God says. (Luke 6:46-49)

I don't know about you, but I really enjoyed the message as I gained a reminder to spend more time with God, especially because I have some decisions to make, as I am sure you all do! Well, today is a great start to a fabulous month! Happy June!

Blessings and New Experiences Ahead,

Candice

Aww...Lisa...She will surely be missed. But I'm so excited about Tanner! I didn't know you had a new kitten, that's so fun.

I must say I enjoyed your notes from Sunday service. I hope to see you soon my friend.
