This DIY is probably the easiest thing you can do, seriously. No need to be a Picasso or Martha Stewart here; within a few minutes you can have some fabulous pieces for your desk, bookshelf or counter area that look as though they were imported from a specialty boutique. Here's your how-to.
Necessary Objects:
PVC plastic toy animals (I found mine at Michael's)
Krylon Metallic Gold Spray Paint
Newspaper
Step 1: Lay out your newspaper workspace.
Step 2: Spray one side of animals and let dry. (10-15 min is about how long mine took)
Flip over and spray other side.
Step 3: Do a second coat of paint, and fill in any little spaces you might have missed, like the mouth or underside and let dry.
Step 4: Admire your new decor pieces. (You can even glue them to a wooden board and create bookends if you choose!)
Finished products!
