On Thankfulness

I've never been a big fan of the whole Thanksgiving meal itself; however, I've always enjoyed the concept behind the celebration. Thankfulness, gratitude, family and taking a moment to pause and reflect on all that we've been given; truly we are blessed. It's not always about having the best things, scoring the perfect deal on Black Friday (who's going shopping?) and the hustle and bustle of the holidays. I like to think this celebration was placed before the rush of the season because we do need that breath of fresh air, to be reminded that God has blessed us abundantly and exceedingly more than all we could ask or imagine..already, and he continued to pour out his grace, lavish his love and give us a future full of hope  that is wilder than our dreams. Regardless of whether you'll be eating turkey and pumpkin pie with family tomorrow or not, it's a good idea to pause and think of things you're thankful for.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
(I'm thankful for you!)

We don't have Thanksgiving here, but I too love the idea of the gratitude and thanksgiving to God behind it.

Such a sweet post! While I DO love the food that comes with this holiday, I am so grateful for the opportunity to really think about all the blessings God has put into my life. If only I could do this more often! have a great THanksgiving girlie!

just like em, we don't have thanksgiving here, but i've always liked the idea of it! :) it's a great time just being able to stop whatever you're doing and be grateful for all that we've been blessed with. even so, we shouldn't only be grateful on this day, but instead, do it everyday! i try to do that - be thankful for something everyday but as human as we are, it gets difficult sometimes. but we never should stop trying!

i hope you have a meaningful and blessed thanksgiving, candice! i'm blessed to have met you! :) xx
